Our Embroidery Process - From Logo to Stitches
Six steps. No surprises. Here is exactly how a custom embroidery order moves through our Huntington shop.
Most people who order embroidery for the first time have never seen what actually happens between "here's my logo" and "here's your finished polo." This page walks through every step. The more you understand the process, the better the files you send us and the faster we ship.
Standard end-to-end turnaround is 5 to 7 business days for orders with new digitizing, or 3 to 5 business days for re-orders on existing files. Rush options exist - see step 6 and our FAQ.
Submit Your Design
Upload your art and tell us what you want it on.
Send us the highest-quality version of your logo you have. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are ideal because they scale cleanly, but high-resolution PNG and JPG also work fine. Tell us the garment type and brand, the placements you want, quantities, and any thread color preferences. We confirm scope, quote, and timing the same business day. A good source file makes everything downstream faster and cleaner.
Live Preview
See your logo as embroidery in seconds.
Our live embroidery preview tool converts your uploaded artwork into a realistic stitch simulation before you commit to an order. You see how the logo will sit on the garment, how the colors will translate to thread, and roughly how dense it will be. No other Long Island embroidery shop offers this. It is the easiest way to catch sizing or contrast issues before they hit production.
Digitizing
24 to 48 hours to convert your art into a stitch file.
If your logo is new to our shop, a trained digitizer converts the flat artwork into a stitch file - the set of instructions that drives the embroidery machine. Digitizing decides stitch direction, density, underlay, pull compensation, stitch type, and order of operations for every shape in the logo. It is the part that determines whether the finished embroidery looks crisp or muddy. Standard turnaround is 24 to 48 business hours. The flat $125 fee is waived on orders over $150.
Approval
You sign off on a digital stitch-out preview.
Before we touch the production run, we send you a digital stitch-out preview - a high-quality render of how the digitized file will actually sew. You confirm thread colors, sizing, and placement. If anything needs adjustment, revisions are included. Nothing goes on the machines until you say go.
Production
Multi-head Tajima machines stitch your order.
Garments are hooped (flat or tubular depending on the placement), threads are loaded in the right order, and the machines run. Flat embroidery covers chest, back, and sleeve work on shirts, polos, and jackets. Tubular embroidery handles tight openings like pockets and infant garments. Cap frames handle structured hats with the proper 270-degree wrap. We sew a test piece on every new run before committing to the rest of the order.
Quality Check & Ship
Every piece inspected, packaged, shipped or ready for pickup.
Each finished piece is inspected for stitch quality, loose threads, hoop marks, and color accuracy. Anything that does not meet our standard goes back through. Approved pieces are folded, packaged, and either shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, or staged for free local pickup at our Huntington shop. You get a notification when your order is on the way or ready to grab.
